- This university was the best for my course after Oxford and Cambridge.,
- The abundance of resources that they provided us during our course of time in the university. Also, with those resources we were provided instructions on how to use them. With that, we were given enough time to prepare for our assignments.
- Dislikes:
- The time duration given for each text is a little less. I do not think that a two-hour discussion can justify or satisfy the questions of the students even when we are provided extra material to read with it. Also sometime, they would ask us to read two texts for one session which we weren't able to cover at all.
I enjoyed it as much as I could, not just in the area of academics but also opposed me generally living my life in Edinburgh.
Fees:
So, my total tuition fees was 26,500 GBP, whereas one GBP is usually equal to 100 rupees.

- University of Edinburgh is set in an extremely scenic city. the accommodations provided by the university are exceptional and have great facilities makes makes student life much easier. The infrastructure is grand. The curation of courses within each field allow for a lot of deep and specific knowledge to be imparted. There are many student forums that motivate students to participate.,
- Rank of University Had the specific course I wanted Within my budget Good alumni list
- Dislikes:
- The initial instructions regarding fee payment, course query and placements were extremely unreliable. There was no specific office where these questions could be asked. The teachers practice a very 'to each your own' approach to studies and there is a lot of self accountability that comes in on a new student.
This college is a great place to be for a year. It gives you the peaceful college experience. The city shuts down early but is very easy to get used to. the college has a grandeur about it which makes the experience more exciting. Meeting people from so many different cultures is always a great learning as well.
Campus Life:
Campus life is exciting as there are many clubs for different events and cultures. the college tries tube as inclusive as possible and has a space for every student. Infrastructure is quite magical and gives a very olden vibe. Accommodations are fantastic, Library is well equipped and available to student 24x7. a lot of open spaced for students to sit study relax.

My department provides me opportunities to engage in cutting-edge projects and collaborate with leading researchers in the field. Also, the university's research centers and institutes cover a wide range of disciplines and offer a platform for me to contribute to innovative discoveries. Overall experience so far has been really great and I'm so grateful for that.

- University of Edinburgh is famous for its diverse range of research and modules. They look at things from their student’s perspective and help them build their own sense of understanding. I remember during the initial days, they would question us and then very calmly would say that there is no right or wrong answers or that even they aren’t sure what side to choose. Just given the spot to make mistakes helped us to understand better, it gave us the opportunity to look at things from a very wide and different perspective. Apart from that the melding of different cultures in one room is also something that I am absolutely grateful for, the different approaches, thoughts, perspectives helps you think differently. The resources provided by the university is very handy, there’s so much of content that if interested can be really delved into.,
- "It comes under top 10 university for psychology and research in the world. The psychology graduates from this university showed a lot of enthusiasm and work in our field. The university has its own approach unique from the world, which is something that drawn me the most. This new approach was built and researched by the students of Edinburgh. Which showed how much importance the university gives to their students and their perspectives. They allow students to follow what they aim for, no matter how surreal or unrealistic it sounds, the university always provides with the necessary resources and help students find their own path. "
- Dislikes:
- The one thing that I found was a little different from Indian education was that no one really cared, the professors have a really set timings that they can provide for the students, all of them are extremely busy as they work only twice a week for the university and the rest of the time they are in their personal practice. So to actually get on with them is difficult and more so than anything even the professors expect us to solve our issues by ourselves and come to them only if it was the last resort. I personally don’t mind the idea of self study, but the lack of clear instructions and communication sometimes creates a barrier. Because there’s only so much we can understand from a presentation or certain research papers. So for the amount of money that we are paying for the university, I would at least expect to have professors who were there to communicate and help us whenever required.
Overall experience as a counselling student for me has been something that I wouldn’t have been able to capture back home. The structure of the classes, the international students, the knowledge insight is impeccable. Their goal as a counselling faculty is for the students to start knowing themselves before they go into the field and help and guide other individuals. That’s something lacking in our Indian universities.
Campus Life:
The University of Edinburgh has a wide campus, with their multiple library access. They have their own pubs, reading areas, rooms that can be booked for events, presentations and a lot more. Every campus provides with a study room, computer systems, individual cafeterias and a lot more. The wifi system is universal, so one system connects you with every campus, as long as it’s university of Edinburgh’s campus. They also have their own gym, which is Edinburgh’s biggest gym, at a very reasonable student price.
Diversity, Course structure, Location (Student city and beautiful place), University Ranking, and Large Alumni group. Interaction with previous student helped in taking decision
